Privacy Policy
Effective September 9, 2026
Cordelia Enterprises, operated by Blue Shark Entertainment LLC, provides the Cordelia gift-experience service. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Cordelia Enterprises is the public name of the Cordelia service. It is operated by Blue Shark Entertainment LLC, a limited liability company in the United States. For any privacy question or request, write to joe@cordeliaenterprises.com.
Information you give us
- Account information. Your email address, and a phone number if you choose to verify one. We use these to sign you in and to confirm it is you.
- Cordelia content. The names, occasion details, notes, photographs, Experience choices, descriptions, and messages you add to a Cordelia.
- Sharing details. A public display name for a Cordelia, and the contact detail you choose for people to verify a link with you.
- Gift details. When someone gives an Experience, the Experience chosen, the amount entered, and the message written to the recipient.
- Responses. Photographs and messages a recipient chooses to send back after enjoying an Experience.
- Support messages. What you write to us when you ask for help.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and database providers record ordinary technical information needed to run and protect the service: the pages requested, the date and time, browser and device type, and internet address. We use this to keep the service working, to diagnose errors, and to detect abuse. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal information.
How we use information
- To create your account, sign you in, and keep your saved work.
- To show a Cordelia to the people you share its link with.
- To record gifts, responses, and Memory Box items in the right Cordelia.
- To answer support requests.
- To protect the service against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Who can see what
- Public Cordelia pages. Anyone with a Cordelia link can see the public display name, occasion details, photographs, and Experiences on that page. Share the link only with people you want to see it.
- Private verification contacts. The email address, phone number, or Facebook address you provide so people can confirm a link is genuine is kept private to your account and is never published on a Cordelia page.
- Gift amounts. An amount given is not shown publicly or to other Givers. It is visible to the authorized Creator and Co-Creators of that Cordelia, to the person receiving the gift, to Cordelia administrators, and in payment and payout records.
- Co-Creators. Someone you invite as a Co-Creator can see and edit the Cordelia you invited them to.
- Student Cordelias. A Cordelia prepared by a person aged 13 to 17 stays private until a verified adult accepts responsibility for it.
Service providers
We share only what is necessary with the companies that run parts of the service on our behalf: our website hosting and application platform, our database and authentication provider, our email delivery provider, and, when payments are active, our payment processor. These providers may process information only to provide their service to us.
We also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of people using the service, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to the information transferred.
How long we keep information
We keep your account and Cordelia content for as long as your account is active so your saved work, links, and Memory Box remain available. You can delete an unpublished draft yourself at any time. When you ask us to close your account, we delete your content within thirty days, apart from records we must keep for legal, tax, security, or accounting reasons.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access rules that limit each record to the account that owns it and the people that account has authorized. Private verification contacts are readable only by the account owner and are never returned to visitors of a public page. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a private email account you control and share Cordelia links only with people you trust.
Your choices and rights
- Review or correct the information in your account at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete your account and its content.
- Stop a Cordelia from being reached publicly by unpublishing or deleting it.
- Ask us not to send non-essential email.
To make any of these requests, write to joe@cordeliaenterprises.com from the email address on your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law, and we honor those requests as the law requires. We do not charge for these requests and we do not treat anyone differently for making one.
Children
Cordelia accounts are for people aged 13 and older. A person aged 13 to 17 may prepare a Cordelia, but it stays private until a verified adult accepts responsibility for it. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
International use
Cordelia is operated from the United States, and information is stored and processed there. If you use Cordelia from another country, you understand that your information is transferred to the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
