Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective September 9, 2026
Cordelia is a gift-experience service provided by Cordelia Enterprises, operated by Blue Shark Entertainment LLC. This policy explains what happens before payment, after payment, and when something goes wrong.
1. Before payment
Choosing Experiences, setting amounts, and writing messages creates a Gift Intention. Nothing is charged and no payment information is collected at that stage. You may change, add, or remove any part of a Gift Intention at any time, and you may leave it saved for as long as the Cordelia stays active.
A Gift Intention is not a purchase. It is never counted as a gift received and is never described as paid, purchased, authorized, or sent.
2. After payment
Once payment is completed, the Experience gift amounts move to the account of the person receiving them. For that reason, completed Experience gifts are ordinarily final, and simply changing your mind after paying does not entitle you to a refund.
3. When Cordelia will consider a refund
- A payment that was not authorized by the cardholder.
- An actual accidental duplicate submission of the same checkout.
- A technical payment error.
- A failure caused by Cordelia or by the payment processor.
- A requirement of applicable law.
- Other exceptional circumstances Cordelia approves.
Deliberately giving several identical Experiences—for example three separate coffee dates of the same amount—is not a duplicate charge. Each one is recorded as its own gift.
4. How to request a review
Neither the Creator nor the person receiving the gift can issue a refund. A refund request is submitted to Cordelia for review. Write to joe@cordeliaenterprises.com with the Cordelia, the Experience, and what happened. Cordelia keeps a complete record of every request and decision.
5. If a refund is approved
- Cordelia reverses the related transfer where it is able to.
- All related gift and payment records are updated.
- The refunded Experience no longer appears as an active paid gift.
- Cordelia refunds its own $1 fee when the failure was caused by Cordelia or by the payment processor.
- Payment-processing costs that the processor does not return may remain non-refundable, unless the law requires otherwise.
6. Disputed payments
If a payment is disputed with the card issuer, Cordelia marks the payment and its gifts as disputed, stops treating those amounts as available, attempts to recover the transferred funds, and records the outcome when the dispute is won, lost, or withdrawn.
Nothing in this policy limits a cardholder’s lawful right to report or dispute an unauthorized transaction.
7. Paused or archived Cordelias
If a Cordelia is paused or archived before payment, its Gift Intentions stop being payable and the Giver is not charged. Gifts already paid are unaffected.
